Make your artwork fit the print.
A practical checklist before uploading or saving a design.
The right file. The right fit.
Start with your product and options. These measurements come from the same settings as our artwork checks.
Custom T-Shirts
This is the current catalog specification for the options above. Existing cart designs and orders keep their saved dimensions—use the measurements shown with that design or order.

Pixels matter more than the file label.
A PDF can contain sharp vectors and low-resolution photos in the same file. These pixel targets are for a full-page image; smaller placed photos need enough pixels at their own printed size.

Which files can I upload?
Product upload paths accept JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 15 MB. Available methods vary by product. Studio photos and logos are limited to 1 MB each. Unsupported formats should be exported to a supported format.
What size should I use?
Select your product size first. The cart and upload tab show its full-bleed dimensions and minimum/recommended pixels. Use Crop & fit to correct proportions without stretching; use a higher-resolution source if the image is too small.
What are bleed and safe area?
Bleed extends the background beyond the trim edge. Keep text, logos and other essential details inside the safe area. Always review the proof for the selected product.
Can I upload later?
Where enabled for the product, choose upload later or design help. Printing stays on hold until the required artwork and proof checks are complete.
Can I reuse my design?
Sign in to save your work to My Projects or My Designs. Reuse creates a separate copy at the current product price and requires a new proof.
Export a PDF at the actual print size
Use the full-bleed document dimensions for the selected product. Keep the required printed faces in one PDF in the correct order; do not combine unrelated products. Do not add printer marks unless our team requests them. Your PDF is scanned and checked in a separate worker before private previews become available. A preview is not approval to print.
Your fonts, preserved in your file
You do not have to use our website fonts. Embed the fonts used by your design in the exported PDF, or convert text to outlines in your design application. This helps prevent missing characters and substituted fonts. Merely listing an unused font in the PDF is not the same as using an unembedded font. Keep an editable original before outlining text.
Resolution: check pixels at printed size
Use the minimum and recommended pixel dimensions shown for your selected configuration. Effective resolution is image pixels divided by the printed size in inches. Changing a file label to 300 DPI, enlarging a small image, or placing it inside a PDF does not restore missing detail. Vector text and shapes scale differently from photographs. Our checks do not certify the sharpness of every photograph embedded inside a PDF; review the proof and ask the team when unsure.
Color on screen and on paper
Screen previews are not a color contract. Paper, ink and finishing affect the result. Keep the original high-quality artwork and ask our print team which color profile and export preset suit the product. Do not choose a random CMYK profile. Passing the automated checks does not certify PDF/X, spot colors, overprint or final press readiness; these require production review.
Packaging and shaped products need the right outline
An assembled box size is not the size of its unfolded artwork. Request the approved flat dieline for the exact product size and printed panels. Respect cutting, folding, glue and no-print areas. The online concept canvas and the guide illustration are not engineered dielines. For shaped products, use the approved outline rather than assuming every point inside a rectangle is safe.
Review, correct, then approve
Check every required side for spelling, contact information, placement, cropping and image clarity. If a photo has the wrong proportions, use Crop & fit where available, or export again from the original design. For a PDF that needs changes, revise the source and upload a new export. If upload later or design help is available, you can request assistance; printing remains on hold until the required proof and production reviews are complete.
